Appointments and Frequently Asked Questions:

Where is your office located?
5728 Major Blvd., Suite 700

Orlando, Florida 32819

Do you offer tele behavioral health or video counseling?
Yes, I utilize HIPAA compliant Televideo platforms. I do require you complete my initial intake form and sign the  Video consent  statement form before the initial session. Please refer to these sections on this website.

How long are the sessions?
Generally 50 -  60 minutes

Do you see military personnel and their families?
Yes, exclusively through Tricare/Humana

How often should we meet?
Usually once a week. The flow of counseling is more effective on a  weekly basis, particularly for the first month. After specific progress has been achieved, your schedule may be amended depending on the therapeutic strategy.

What is an "EAP",  and are you on these type of panels?
An EAP is an Employee Assistance Program, which is a program offered through your workplace that typically has a counseling
coverage component. Usually these programs offer anywhere from three to twelve counseling sessions free of charge to you,
and/or anyone who lives with you currently. When you call to get an authorization to see me, your plan will inform you how many sessions you are eligible for.  I currently accept all major EAP plans, simply check with your workplace to see if they offer one.  The EAP can be a different company from your major insurance plan.

What if I want to use insurance?
I believe counseling and therapy is a service for our whole community, and should be accessible related to how you can afford it.  I have accepted insurance for years and will continue to do so.  I do accept most major insurance for counseling and clinical
services.

Please refer to the Intake section to provide me the basic insurance information. We will be happy to verify and inform you
before our first session of the benefit. Please include the policy holders name, Date of birth, ID number, holders mailing address,
and a toll free number of the insurance company. You can submit the intake information confidentiality through the secure
portal provided.

You may be responsible to meet a deductible before the insurance coverage goes into effect for you.  If this is the case, you will remit what the carrier would pay me for each session. You may owe a co-insurance payment after each session. These payments are usually a percentage of what the carrier remits to me.

What if I want to pay you privately?
Often, clients will choose to self pay for increased confidentially due to not wanting their personal information disclosed during the
medical billing process. If you do not want any billing involved, or if you do not have a plan that covers counseling services, I do offer a sliding scale fee schedule. This schedule is dependent upon what your household income is per annum. Please see
the "Intake Form", section (Financial Policy)  for details.

What methods of payment do you accept?
Cash, checks, HSAs or major credit cards are all accepted.

When is payment due?
All deductible payments, co-insurance payment, or session fees are due at the beginning of the session.

How do I schedule an appointment?
Call (407) 521-1750  Please let me know the best time and day for your visit and if you will be using insurance.
I will generally call you back in one business day to set up an appointment with you.
